The Delta program is a little known golden dorado resource minutes from downtown Buenos Aires along the Parana River Delta. Long time dorado expert, Noel Pollak, has established one of the most unique fishing excursions in Argentina. The program is an ideal day trip from your city hotel, or you can extend your trip with an overnight or two in his new, stylish waterfront eco-lodge. Providing all tackle and fly needs, the Delta Lodge affords anglers headed to Patagonia or Cordoba the opportunity to target dorado without hauling gear to South America. The site is remote, yet near the city.

Fishing

You target aggressive golden dorado, tararira, and multiple other species in scenic and historic delta channels just miles from the Buenos Aires skyline. Dorado average 5-7 pounds with double-digit fish caught weekly. This is a cultural experience wrapped into an unforgettable fishing trip.

Accommodation

The waterfront Delta Lodge accommodates four guests in two en suite bedrooms in an amply spaced eco-friendly lodge built with indigenous timber. Approximately 30 minutes from the marina, Delta Lodge affords remote natural beauty rarely seen by Buenos Aires visitors.

Gear

This “come as you are” full-service fishing program provides 100% of tackle, flies and lures inclusive in the trip. If guests bring their own, fast action 8 wt. rods and sturdy reels with tropical float and sink lines are optimum. Tropical weight cloths, sun protection and rain gear are encouraged.

Trip Specifics

Approximately 45 minutes from downtown Buenos Aires hotels and an hour and 30 minutes from Ezeiza International. City/ Marina transfers are not included and are booked via Frontiers.
All tackle, flies, beverages, licenses and lunch are included in the day-trip cost; come as you are.
Delta Lodge accommodates 4 guests comfortably and offers 2 guides/boats daily. Come for the fishing and stay for the birding and culture.

Both fly and spin fishing are encouraged. This is not a high-volume fishery, it is a high-experience journey.
